New Delhi: Bollywood veteran actor Govinda has recently made a comeback into politics. Recently, after meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, he joined Shiv Sena. Govinda has previously won the Lok Sabha elections on Congress ticket.
Govinda met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a campaign in Mumbai. Govinda has shared the picture of his meeting with the Prime Minister on his official Instagram.
In its caption, he wrote, “It was an honor to meet the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji during the campaign in Mumbai.” In the photo, Govinda is seen shaking hands with the Prime Minister. It is noteworthy that Govinda has been away from Bollywood for the last several years.
He was last seen in the 2019 film ‘Rangeela Raja’, but it was not successful at the box office. Govinda worked in many superhit films in the 80s and 90s. Govinda’s dancing style and comedy were a big hit. Govinda’s pairing with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon created quite a stir.
